Taufik Hidayat Bahagia karena Kelahiran Anak Kedua

PEBULU tangkis nomor satu Indonesia, Taufik Hidayat, sedang bahagia. Sang istri, Army Dianti Gumelar atau Ami Gumelar, melahirkan anak kedua di Rumah Sakit Asih, kawasan Blok M, Jakarta, Jumat lalu (11/6).

Bayi laki-laki dengan bobot 3,65 kilogram dan panjang 52 sentimeter tersebut lahir pukul 16.59. ''Dia (Taufik, Red) sangat bahagia dengan kelahiran anak keduanya,'' jelas Melati Karina, manajer Taufik, kemarin (12/6). Dia menambahkan, Taufik menitipkan ucapan terima kasih kepada semua pihak yang selalu memperhatikan dan mendoakan keluarganya.

Kondisi Ami Gumelar, yang juga putri Menteri Negara Pemberdayaan Perempuan Linda Gumelar, sehat dan stabil. Bayi itu diberi nama Nayottama Prawira Hidayat. ''Nama tersebut sudah disiapkan pihak keluarga sebelumnya,'' terang Melati.

Taufik yang kini berada di peringkat kelima BWF itu mengumumkan kelahiran anaknya tersebut dalam akun Twitter miliknya. Tidak lama kemudian, peraih medali emas dalam Olimpiade Athena pada 2004 dan juara dunia pada 2005 tersebut mendapat ucapan selamat dari pengguna situs pertemanan itu.

Nayottama adalah anak kedua Taufik dengan Ami Gumelar. Sebelumnya, pasangan yang menikah pada 4 Februari 2006 tersebut dikaruniai anak perempuan, yakni Natarina Alika Hidayat, yang lahir pada awal Agustus 2006. (nar/c10/dwi)

Jimly Tahu Sopan Santun

SATU di antara lima nama yang direkomendasikan Forum Rektor Indonesia sebagai calon ketua KPK (Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi) sebetulnya adalah Jimly Asshiddiqie, 54. Tetapi, Jimly tahu sopan santun. Mantan ketua Mahkamah Konstitusi (MK) itu masih terikat sebagai anggota Dewan Pertimbangan Presiden (Wantimpres).

Padahal, batas waktu pendaftaran calon ketua KPK adalah hari ini (14/6). ''Bukan saya tidak bersedia, tapi saya tidak bisa. Inisiatif bukan ada pada saya. Saya kan masih ada kontrak lima tahun di Wantimpres. Kalau saya melamar, ya tidak etis. Seolah-olah ingin dua pekerjaan,'' ujarnya ketika dihubungi Jawa Pos kemarin (13/6).

Pria kelahiran Palembang, 17 April 1956, tersebut menilai pencalonan dirinya sebagai pimpinan KPK dapat dikategorikan melanggar etika dan amanat jabatan di Wantimpres. Sebab, jabatan Wantimpres dia terima berdasar kontrak dengan presiden. ''Masa saya mencari pekerjaan lain, sedangkan saya baru teken kontrak sebagai Wantimpres. Lain halnya kalau kapasitas saya sebagai mantan ketua MK atau nonjabatan,'' tuturnya.

Soal pencalonan dirinya atas inisiatif Ikatan Sarjana Hukum Indonesia (IHSI), Jimly mengaku sudah mendengar. Guru besar ilmu hukum tata negara Universitas Indonesia (UI) itu mempersilakan IHSI mendaftarkan dirinya.

Jimly menegaskan bahwa itu bukan berarti dirinya tidak mau dicalonkan. Jika inisiatif IHSI tersebut direspons pansel pimpinan KPK atau pansel berinisiatif meminta dirinya melengkapi persyaratan pendaftaran, dia tidak bisa menolak. Namun, suami Tuty Amalia itu tahu etika. ''Sopan santunnya, saya harus berkonsultasi dulu kepada presiden. Apa nanti kalau saya terpilih, beliau tidak keberatan saya berhenti di Wantimpres,'' ujarnya.

Apalagi, lanjut dia, pengangkatan dirinya di Wantimpres atas inisiatif presiden. ''Jadi, tidak etis jika saya tidak berkonsultasi lebih dulu,'' tambah bapak lima anak tersebut. (ken/c3/dwi)

Cara Aman Mengotak-atik Setting BIOS PC

Bila Windows adalah wajah ramah yang ditampilkan proyek-proyek komputer kepada dunia, maka BIOS adalah sisi gelap bawah sadar yang bertugas untuk berpikir. BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) adalah kode untuk fungsi-fungsi fundamental PC, seperti mengumpulkan ketukan tombol dari keyboard atau meletakkan pixel ke layar.

Program kecil ini bekerja di balik layar, menterjemahkan perintah Windows yang people-friendly menjadi angka nol dan satu yang hanya dimengerti oleh hardware Anda. Dan sebagaimana alam bawah sadar manusia, BIOS bisa berpengaruh sangat kuat pada tingkah laku dan kinerja PC Anda.

Terapi BIOS

Ketika teknologi baru muncul dan bug tua ditemukan, para pembuat komputer sering menerbitkan versi BIOS yang telah diupdate yang dapat mengatasi problem dan meningkatkan kinerja. Periksa situs Web pembuat PC Anda mengenai update terbaru. Namun pertama-tama pastikan Anda memiliki nomor versi terbaru BIOS; biasanya muncul sekilas di monitor Anda tepat setelah Anda menyalakan sistem. (Tekan tombol Pause bila kilasannya terlalu cepat.)

Mengupdate BIOS mudah, tetapi Anda harus melakukannya dengan hati-hati. Biasanya Anda perlu menjalankan program kecil dari floppy disk saja. Jika BIOS adalah bawah sadar PC, maka utiliti Setup merupakan fondasi untuk membangun karakter PC. Utiliti tersebut memiliki setting user untuk mengontrol harddisk, memori, kartu-kartu grafis, power saving, port USB, dan hardware lain. Program tersebut biasanya disertakan dalam disk, tetapi sekarang sudah tersimpan dalam chip ROM yang sama dengan BIOS PC.

Untuk membuka Setup, cukup tekan tombol (atau kombinasi tombol) yang disarankan kepada Anda untuk dimasukkan ketika PC melakukan start up. Masing-masing pembuat BIOS menggunakan tombol yang berbeda — Delete, F1, atau F10. Di layar Anda seharusnya memperlihatkan tombol atau tombol-tombol mana yang perlu ditekan untuk Setup tepat setelah layar menampilkan angka versi BIOS. Jika tidak, periksa dokumentasi sistem Anda.

Karena utiliti Setup dibuat oleh pembuat BIOS dan berada dalam chip yang sama dengan BIOS, ini sering disebut utiliti BIOS Setup. Dan karena utiliti ini menyimpan settingnya di chip clock/calendar — chip complementary metal-oxide semiconductor, atau CMOS — maka sering pula disebut sebagai program Setup CMOS. (Chip CMOS memiliki batere sendiri untuk memelihara setting chip sekalipun PC dimatikan.)

Utiliti Setup memiliki setting hardware yang berlimpah, mulai dari yang terlihat nyata, seperti setting waktu di clock PC, sampai yang tidak kelihatan, seperti jumlah “wait states” yang mengkoordinasi aliran data antara RAM dan CPU.

Pertama, Jangan Merusak

Ketika bekerja dengan utiliti Setup PC, gunakan petunjuk praktis yang sama diajarkan pada awal bedah otak: Bila Anda tidak tahu apa yang dilakukan sesuatu, jangan berurusan dengannya. Kecerobohan mengubah wait state atau setting lainnya dapat menurunkan kinerja atau bahkan menyebabkan sistem mengalami crash.

Jika Anda mengira Anda telah tanpa sengaja mengubah setting ketika sedang bekerja dengan utiliti Setup, segera berhenti dan mulailah dari awal lagi. Semua utiliti Setup memiliki pilihan menu yang memungkinkan Anda keluar tanpa menyimpan perubahan. Anda mungkin melihat pula pilihan untuk mengembalikan setting ke nilai defaultnya. Abaikan opsi ini: Bila vendor PC Anda telah melakukan fine-tune terhadap sistem, setting default si pembuat BIOS mungkin membuatnya menjadi tidak optimal.

Backup setting-setting Anda sebelum membuat perubahan. Bila batere yang menghidupi chip clock/calendar mati, setting-setting Anda mati bersamanya. Bila utiliti Setup Anda mempunyai opsi backup, gunakanlah. Jika tidak, catat setting di kertas — atau tekan key Print Screen untuk masing-masing layar di utiliti tersebut (tetapi ini tidak selalu berfungsi).

Apa yang Dicari

Sebelum mulai, baca sampai selesai user manual yang menyertai PC atau motherboard. Banyak manual menawarkan penjelasan singkat masing-masing setting. Setting bervariasi menurut manufaktur dan model, namun Anda seharusnya menemukan ini di hampir semua PC:

Optimalisasi dan kompatibilitas setting: Utiliti Setup sering berisi setting-setting untuk kinerja hardware. Kadang-kadang ini tidak diatur secara optimal di pabrik, utamanya pada PC yang dibuat berdasar pesanan atau generik. Scan seluruh program Setup. Setting modus AGP dan setting DMA merupakan kandidat utama untuk dioptimalisasi. Setting-setting ini juga berguna untuk troubleshooting hardware yang baru diinstall: Menonaktifkan atau menurunkan setting yang diberikan bisa memicu ketidak-kompatibelan kartu grafis, CD-ROM drive, atau peranti lain yang terjadi sebelumnya.

Setting harddisk: Anda akan menemukan tabel, biasanya pada halaman kedua atau Advanced dan dengan judul “IDE”, yang mendaftar semua parameter konfigurasi untuk EIDE harddisk yang secara langsung terkoneksi ke motherboard. (SCSI harddisk dan EIDE harddisk yang tidak punya kartu ekspansi akan menjalankan program konfigurasinya sendiri.) Sementara kebanyakan PC yang dibuat selama beberapa tahun terakhir dapat dengan mulus mendeteksi dan mengkonfigurasi harddisk baru, sebagian memerlukan instalasi manual. Floppy disk: Opsi ini memungkinkan Anda menyetel tipe floppy drive (3,5 inci, 1,44MB, sebagai contoh) yang telah Anda tetapkan sebagai drive A: atau B: Anda. Urutan booting: Setting ini menentukan mana yang pertama kali dilihat PC ketika instruksi boot-up. Contoh: `A: kemudian C:`, `C: kemudian A:`, atau `C:, Zip drive`. Untuk booting dari CD-ROM drive, Zip, atau LS-120, Anda sepertinya harus mengubah setting ini.

Proteksi password: Bila ini diaktifkan, BIOS akan menanyakan password sebelum booting up. Sangat berhati-hatilah dengan yang satu ini: Bila melupakan password, Anda terpaksa mereset jumper motherboard atau mencopot batere CMOS, yang akan menyebabkan Anda kehilangan semua setting, atau Anda bahkan harus membeli motherboard baru.

Setting IRQ: Bila Anda butuh setting IRQ ekstra untuk hardware baru, Anda perlu membebaskan satu IRQ dengan menonaktifkan feature yang tidak digunakan, seperti port serial, port paralel, atau port USB.

Setting port paralel: Pilih modus yang paling cocok untuk hardware. Modus ECP atau EPP dapat sangat mempercepat printer dan peranti lain.

Kipas RPM dan temperatur CPU: Dua parameter kritis ini sebaiknya dicentang secara periodik untuk memastikan mereka berfungsi dengan benar.

Drive Kotor

Jusuf Kalla Kampanye Donor Darah di Mal

Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI) punya antisipasi atas kasus kelangkaan kantong darah dan banyaknya calo yang memperjualbelikan kantong darah. Salah satu upayanya adalah memperbanyak jumlah kantong darah dan mempermudah akses donor darah.

Ketua Umum PMI Jusuf Kalla (JK) mengampanyekan donor darah di pusat perbelanjaan atau mal. Mantan wakil presiden itu kemarin (14/6) secara simbolis meresmikan delapan gerai donor darah di mal dan perguruan tinggi. Peresmian tersebut sekaligus dalam rangka memperingati Hari Donor Darah Sedunia.

Gerai di mal berlokasi di Senayan City dan Tanah Abang (Jakarta), Mal Makassar, dan Olympic Garden Malang. Sementara itu, gerai di perguruan tinggi bisa ditemukan di Universitas Trisakti (Jakarta), Universitas Hasanudin (Makassar), Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 (Surabaya), dan Universitas Jember. ''Ini upaya kami untuk menghindari calo darah,'' ungkap JK yang kemarin didampingi sang istri, Ny Mufidah Kalla, dan cucu. Menurut dia, PMI menargetkan membuka 125 gerai donor darah di berbagai mal dan perguruan tinggi di Indonesia.

Pria kelahiran Watampone, Bone, Sulsel, 15 Mei 1942, tersebut menjelaskan, makin sulitnya akses bagi para donor darah berdampak kepada berkurangnya jumlah kantong darah yang dihasilkan setiap bulan. Jika darah makin sulit dicari, akan muncul para calo yang memperjualbelikan kantong darah. ''Pasien tentu tidak akan berpikir panjang karena benar-benar sangat membutuhkan,'' terang Menko Kesra pada era pemerintahan Presiden Megawati Soekarnoputri itu. (nuq/c3/dwi)

David Naif Lebih Kurus, tapi Sehat

CUKUP lama tak muncul di depan publik, musisi David Naif tampil berbeda ketimbang sebelumnya. Vokalis grup band Naif tersebut lebih kurus.

David mengatakan bahwa dalam tempo setengah tahun ini, berat badannya turun drastis. Hal itu terjadi berkat pola hidup sehat yang dijalaninya sejak awal tahun ini. ''Banyak benefit-nya (manfaat, Red) pola hidup sehat. Gue manggung berjam-jam enggak capek. Jadi lebih bersih karena kotoran keluar lewat keringat,'' ujarnya setelah jumpa pers road show konser bertajuk Bersama Kita Bintang di Hard Rock Cafe, Jakarta, kemarin (16/6).

Pemilik nama lengkap David Bayu Danangjaya itu mengungkapkan bahwa selama enam bulan terakhir, dirinya membiasakan untuk berolahraga. Dia memilih pusat kebugaran yang baru saja dibangun tidak jauh dari rumahnya. Selain itu, setiap hari pria kelahiran Cirebon, 29 Agustus 1976, tersebut push-up dan sit-up 300 kali.

Tidak hanya itu, bapak dua anak tersebut juga mempraktikkan pola makan secara teratur. Misalnya, dia mengurangi konsumsi berbagai makanan yang mengandung kolesterol dan gula. Hasilnya, berat badan suami Shilla Delila itu turun dari semula 85 kilogram menjadi 65 kilogram.

Karena berat badannya turun itu pula, banyak baju penyanyi yang suka tampil berkacamata dan gaya 70-an tersebut yang longgar. Jadi, baju-baju tersebut tidak bisa terpakai lagi. David pun terpaksa membeli baju baru sesuai ukurannya saat ini. (irf/jpnn/c6/dwi)

Mrs. Sanderson underlined, that the National Health Service had opened a number of free dental care programs for children and teenagers under 18.

Dayana Mendoza Duta Promosi Mesin Pemilu

MISS Universe 2008 Dayana Mendoza berkunjung ke Filipina sejak Senin malam lalu (14/6). Kunjungan itu berlangsung sekitar sebulan setelah pemilihan umum (pemilu) di negara tersebut pada 10 Mei lalu. Gadis cantik asal Venezuela itu memang datang sebagai duta promosi Smartmatic, pemasok teknologi mesin pemilu di Filipina.

Sehari setelah diperkenalkan kepada media sebagai Ambassador for Transparency oleh Smartmatic Selasa lalu (15/6), Mendoza, 24, kemarin (16/6) berkunjung ke Kantor Comelec atau KPU (Komisi Pemilihan Umum) Filipina di kawasan Intramuros, Manila. Perempuan kelahiran Caracas, 1 Juni 1986, tersebut memuji sukses penyelenggaraan pemilu di Filipina.

"Selamat. (Sukses pemilu di Filipina, Red) benar-benar luar biasa. Seluruh dunia telah membicarakannya," ungkap Mendoza kepada komisioner Comelec seperti dikutip koran Sun Star.

Para pejabat Comelec yang dipimpin Rene Sarmiento menyambut gembira kunjungan Mendoza itu. "Kami merasa terhormat dengan kunjungan tersebut," katanya. Komisioner Comelec Nicodemo Ferrer pun bercanda, jika saja Smartmatic menghadirkan Mendoza jauh sebelum pemilu, jumlah pengkritik di Filipina jauh lebih sedikit.

Saat pemilu lalu, Filipina memang menggunakan teknologi mesin untuk para pemilih. Teknologi itu sebelumnya digunakan di negara-negara maju. Hasilnya, senator Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III ditetapkan sebagai presiden terpilih.

Tetapi, Mendoza tak dijadwalkan bertemu dengan Noynoy selama berada di Filipina. Dia meninggalkan negara itu hari ini (17/6). Call of Duty

Call of Duty: Black Ops is just a couple days old, but that doesn’t mean you need to head into virtual battle unprepared. You need tips for gathering XP and CoD Points, both essential for beefing up your arsenal with new weapons, killstreaks and attachments. Don’t think less of yourself for seeking out strategies for a military shooter — the U.S. armed forces impart the nugget of wisdom “Aim Towards Enemy” in rocket launcher instruction manuals — so think of this how-to guide for leveling up quickly and raking in CoD points as the gaming equivalent of friendly advice on how not to blow yourself up.

Hint #1: Remember the Basics

Though Black Ops features a new currency system for buying anything your heart desires, you still need to level up to unlock weapons and new features as per the last few Call of Duty titles. Thankfully, the road to level 50 (that’s right – the maximum rank has shrunk, but there are more Prestige levels now) can still be traversed with tried-and-true methods. No, seriously – click that link. Our guide to leveling up fast in Modern Warfare 2 is (mostly) applicable to Black Ops. Now most of those tips will help you earn CoD points, too.

Hint #2: Take Out a Contract

There are three different types of Contracts: Mercenary, Operations and Specialist. Mercenary Contracts are generally based around weapons and personal performance. Operations Contracts center around game modes. Specialist Contracts ask you to perform impressive feats, often in a single life. Focus more on Mercenary and Operations contracts as they are simpler to complete, but don’t be afraid to take out Specialist contracts if they fall in line with your play style and other goals. Three contracts (one in each group) can be active simultaneously, which sounds great but may lead to you splitting your efforts and getting the big red “Expired!” stamp on your screen when time runs out.
Pick your Contracts accordingly, and never buy them if you aren’t going to actively chase them; that’s just a waste of CoD points that could instead be used to purchase new gear. If you’re playing Domination with a group of friends,. don’t purchase one requiring five Search and Destroy victories. The bigger/tougher contracts are especially worth it since they can be bought for a modest amount and pay out a chuck of points (and XP). And most importantly, use the time between matches to check if you’ve completed any contracts and then purchase new ones. It’s easy to miss the in-game announcement that you’ve completed one or forget about them altogether as you engage in some post-match trash talk. Once a match begins you cannot take out a contract, so act quickly.

Hint #3: Bet Wisely on Wager Matches

A Wager Match is like Texas Hold ‘Em with guns. You ante up some CoD points (the amount varies), face off against up to five opponents in four unique free-for-all modes, and then earn points for finishing in the top three.
The buy-in amount (and subsequent reward) depends on how much you’re willing to risk. “Ante Up” is low stakes (10 point buy-in), “Weekend Gambler” is medium stakes (1,000 point buy-in), and “High Roller” requires a minimum 10,000 points to play and removes the ability of players to pick the game type they’ll be competing in. It’s assumed you’re skilled all around if you bet here. And if you’re feeling particularly good (or lucky), you can even double down – which increases both the buy-in and the pot.
The payouts in “Ante Up” don’t make it worth your time for anything but getting familiar with how the mode works. Unless you don’t have the funds to support it (and if that’s the case, go do some contracts!), “Weekend Gambler” is the way to go early on. Take first place and you earn 3,000 CoD points. Second place pays 1,800 points, and if you come in third you’ll win your money back at least. Vote for the “Nuketown” map when it’s available for quick and frantic matches that last around five minutes and watch the points add up. After one top showing here you can purchase a single new perk; two first place wins and you can buy the Gunship. Good luck getting to 11 kills in a row!

Hint #4: Challenges Don’t Pay

Unless you’re playing strictly to enter Prestige Mode, don’t worry too much about standard challenges. They don’t reward you with CoD points (just boring old XP) and you’ll likely complete them naturally over time anyway. But if you enjoy tough goals, contracts offer similar challenges and, as previously mentioned, sometimes pay out in both CoD points and XP. Go after them with the same fervor you would normal challenges in previous Call of Duty games.

Hint #5: Headquarters for the Noob and Beyond, Part II

It may not be the most ethical way to play, but if your team is solid and communicates, turning the objective-based Headquarters game type into a 20-minute killing session is a great way to rack up XP, CoD points, and finish Contracts that require many kills. Your opponents won’t like it, and you’ll likely go through dozens of players who will BUpA (that’s “quit” in Call of Duty parlance), but like Axl Rose opined “What’s so civil about war anyway?”
The best way to turn Headquarters into this new game type (my friends call it “20 Minutes of Pain”) is to lock down the initial HQ and hold it for the maximum amount of points. Failing that, grab the first two. Once your team is up 100 (or so) to zero, lock down the next HQ. Don’t enter it; just kill your opponents as they try to. It’s tricky and communication is vital, but imagine the CoD points and XP after 20 minutes of pure slaughter.

Hint #6: Balance Wager Matches and Player Matches

Wager Matches may be great for earning quick cash, but you don’t rank up playing them. And if you don’t rank up, all those CoD points are just going to sit there unspent. Divide your online time between the new Wager Matches and the old Player matches for the best results. For example, play Gun Game until you win a few times and have over 10,000 CoD points, then head into Create-a-Class to buy some new weapons or outfit your old ones with camouflage and a clan tag engraving. By constantly buying new weapons and trying them out you may find that one gun that just clicks.

Hint #7: Consider Your Spending Habits

When you’re just starting out, CoD points are relatively scarce. During the first dozen or so ranks, resist the urge to buy random attachments you’ll only use once or high level killstreaks you may have trouble attaining. Cater your custom classes to your play style  or you might end up crawling to higher levels, not sprinting. If you rush enemies, perks like Marathon and Steady Aim are extremely useful – buy them up as soon as you can. If sniping is more your thing, purchase the Scout and Ghost perks. Playing the way you’re good at playing helps win matches, earning extra XP and CoD points.
